They are not passing the buck only trying to help as BT is my provider. If in the process of solving this matter I am wrong then I accede. I have been discussing this issue some time now and they have advised me to take all precautions with regard to Mac Mail rules and any other Apple issues that might be applicable. Then I have applied a rule to STOP AND DELETE on arrival for all from this address. These emails always are immediately routed to my IMAP spam folder. Is this correct? I want to stop them completely as they are grossly inappropriate. My question is I am getting spam from an address that I have blocked in BT Mail successfully but still gets through to my Mac Mail account albeit to the spam folder. I use BT Mail on certain occasions but mainly use Mac Mail because I am using a iMac and because I can view all my emails to all my addresses at once which I cannot do in BT Mail (I have to log in each time to a different login email account).
